Some themes come with more than one template which allows you to, for example, choose whether a given page will have a sidebar or be full width. To illustrate how this feature works, search for, install, and activate a theme named Azul Silver.
- Create a new page.
- On the right side of the editor, click the arrow beside Page Attributes and choose the Custom Sidebar Template.
- Publish the page.
- At this point it may not be obvious that you have a sidebar. To make it more apparent, visit your widgets and drag a widget to the custom sidebar. Now you should have a visible sidebar on your new page.
- Visit some of your other pages that (by default) are using the default template and notice that they have no sidebar.
- Switch the new page to the default template and notice that its sidebar also disappears.
- That’s it!
